The Most Meaningful Christmas 2010

My first Christmas here in Singapore in 4 years. Overwhelmed by a sense of disappointment and somewhat, sadness, to not be able to spend a cold winter Christmas (and soon-to-be New Year) in my beloved Japan.

Nevertheless, the Lord had blessed me with the most meaningful Christmas ever. In the morning, I attended the 11.15am Christmas service which was also the baptism service, where I witnessed my course mates being baptised. Praise Lord for their baptism!

The ladies had it the "easier" way - 'down' into the water

The guys had it the "tougher" way - 'backwards' into the water

I was reminded of my own baptism back in 2001 @ St. John's Chapel. Mine was the "backwards" style. LOLx~ That very Christmas evening I watched an awesome Christmas concert with 3 non-believing friends.

The following day, I attended my Mum's church, and watched her perform in a skit for her church's Christmas concert. Praise Lord for Mum's contribution. I'm so proud of Mummy~

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

The greatest gift? The most precious treasure?
God Himself who came in flesh.

For God so love the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
