Well, I just have to tip my hat to the producers. You see... When was the last time a whole fan base has been so totally and perfectly manipulated? It started off with the ending of the first season.
It was a perfectly reasonable ending nevertheless but also an ending leaving many fans feeling somewhat unfulfilled and sad. Then hopes were risen when news of a second season were released. Every one of us waited in anticipation.The producers must have been laughing their asses off hearing & reading about rabid Sebby x Ciel fans going into despair (I was one of those) and trashing the new characters Claude & Alois even before they were seen.
I mean, check out the promo videos and the official website! “New master & a New butler” they said, and most importantly, absolutely no sighting of Sebastian & Ciel!!! Gyaaa…
Then 3 quarts into the 1st episode, unsuspecting fans were in for a humongous surprise. Kyaaa~
Our beloved Sebby & Ciel were introduced back into their new season in the most beautiful and sweet manner~
And now??? People are ecstatic to know that they are back AND they want the once hated Claude x Alois pair too?! The whole thing was such a strike of genius!
